Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Master Production Scheduler to step into a highly visible role where you can make a real impact on operational performance, systems improvement and overall business success.

We are looking for a proactive Master Production Scheduler to take ownership of planning, scheduling and materials control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal role where you will balance customer demand with operational capacity ensuring materials are in place, machines are utilised effectively, and deliveries hit target every time. You will also act as the go-to expert for the Manufacturing Execution System, driving system improvements, data accuracy and wider adoption across the business.

Key accountabilities:

  • Own and manage production scheduling to achieve on-time delivery
  • Plan and control materials and inventory to support efficient production flow
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring supplier performance meets deadlines
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, proactively resolving issues
  • Optimise machine utilisation and throughput across production
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports on labour, materials and revenue forecasts
  • Take a lead on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) optimisation, improving data integrity and system usage across planning, maintenance and quality
  • Analyse performance data to drive continuous improvement

To succeed in this interesting scheduling/planning role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in production planning, materials planning or supply chain coordination
  • Any experience within a low volume, high variety or bespoke manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of MRP / ERP
  • Any MES (Manufacturing Execution System) systems experience alongside ERP / MRP experience ideal but not essential.
  • Confident working with data, reporting and analysis
  • Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communicator comfortable working with suppliers and production teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and drive results
