The Job:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Functional Skills Tutor Mathematics . In this role you will deliver Mathematics to apprentices from Entry Level 3 to Level 2, supporting them to achieve functional skills qualifications alongside their vocational learning.
You will adapt teaching approaches, use blended delivery methods, and maintain accurate records to support high-quality outcomes. The role also involves contributing to the development of workplace-relevant maths content and working collaboratively within a small team.
Responsibilities will include
Deliver high-quality Functional Skills Mathematics to apprentices from Entry Level 3 to Level 2.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs, including SEND and additional learning requirements.
Apply inclusive teaching strategies in line with Ofsteds Education Inspection Framework.
Use blended delivery methods, including virtual classrooms and digital resources.
Monitor learner progress, set clear targets, and support timely achievement.
Maintain accurate and compliant records for quality assurance and performance measures.
Contribute to the development of workplace-relevant maths content and scenarios.
Collaborate with a small team while managing your own workload and administration.
The Person:
For this role our client is looking for a motivated educator with a passion for helping apprentices build confidence and skills through practical mathematics.
Qualified teacher status or a recognised teaching qualification is desirable.
Level 2 / GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Mathematics.
Experience delivering Functional Skills to 1619 learners at Entry Level 3 to Level 2.
Demonstrable awareness of inclusive practice and differentiation.
Strong classroom and virtual delivery skills, with effective behaviour management.
Salary:
Up to £30,000
