About the role
At Fifty5Blue, we help BARB (Broadcasting Audience Research Board) measure what people across the UK are watching on TV. Were looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Field Technician who enjoys solving problems, meeting people and working independently.
Youll visit panel members in their homes to install, maintain and troubleshoot TV metering equipment and software. Youll work across TVs, routers, streaming devices and home entertainment systems, while providing friendly support and making technical information easy to understand.
What youll be doing
- Installing, configuring, maintaining and removing TV metering equipment and software
- Troubleshooting A/V, broadband, Wi-Fi, networking and software issues
- Working with HDMI, SCART, RGB and Composite connections
- Supporting Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices
- Planning your own appointments, travel and daily workload
- Maintaining accurate records of visits, mileage, equipment and technical activity
- Managing equipment and stock responsibly
- Keeping your company vehicle organised and ready for the road
- Building positive relationships with panel members through clear, patient and professional communication
