Our mission goes beyond individual support; we actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities in our society. With a proven track record of delivering effective support services, in 2025, we helped house over 1,500 individuals and provided support to over 600 of our service users, helping them to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives in their new country.
We are now looking for an Employment Specialist to join us on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, for a one year fixed-term contract.

As an Employment Specialist, you will provide personalised employment support to help individuals overcome barriers, secure meaningful work and sustain long-term employment. Working within the IPS/SEQF supported employment model, you will support individuals through every stage of their employment journey, from engagement and vocational profiling to job searching, employer engagement and ongoing in-work support.
You will deliver tailored coaching, skills development and workplace support, helping people build confidence, develop independence and achieve positive employment outcomes. Additionally, you will:
- Support rapid job searching aligned to individual goals and strengths
- Deliver workplace training and structured support to promote job retention
- Build partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations
- Deliver services from community-based and co-located locations
- Develop and maintain employer relationships
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress and outcomes
- Travel across Bristol and surrounding areas to provide community and workplace support
About You
To be considered as an Employment Specialist, you will need:
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, ASD, mental health conditions, complex health challenges, or disadvantaged groups
- Experience in employability or careers guidance
- Employer engagement experience
- Knowledge of supported employment principles and employer engagement techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT literacy (Word, Excel, CRM systems)
- GCSE Maths & English at Grade C/4 or equivalent
- A qualification in Supported Employment/IPS or the willingness to work towards this within nine months
- A full, valid driving licence, access to your own vehicle and the ability to travel across Bristol
