Domestic Rewire Teams Workflow Recruitment are looking for experienced Domestic Rewire Teams for a long-term domestic electrical rewire contract in Bristol. This is a 5-year programme of works, with teams required to complete full domestic rewires on a price-per-property basis. The work will involve occupied and unoccupied domestic properties, so we are looking for reliable, well-organised teams who can deliver clean, compliant rewires while working respectfully around residents.

As part of the Domestic Rewire Teams, you will be completing full property rewires from removal of existing circuits through to installation, second fix, testing, certification, and handover. Works will include:

  • Lighting, power, bonding, consumer unit replacement, alarms/detection, kitchen circuits, shower circuits where required, and associated making good.

Properties may vary in layout and specification, so teams must be comfortable working from survey information and completing all required evidence through a mobile app.

This is a steady, long-term rewire programme in Bristol, offering experienced Domestic Rewire Teams the opportunity to secure consistent work across a 5-year contract. Quality, resident care, site tidiness, and accurate completion records are all key to successful delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Complete full domestic rewires in occupied and unoccupied properties.
  • Remove and replace existing circuits in line with survey requirements and current regulations.
  • Install surface-mounted PVC trunking where required, using floorboard voids and loft spaces where possible.
  • Complete first fix, second fix, changeover, testing, and certification.
  • Carry out full consumer unit replacements and associated bonding works.
  • Install lighting, socket outlets, cooker circuits, appliance spurs, alarms/detection, and other specified items.
  • Protect residents' homes using dust sheets, screening, and careful working practices.
  • Temporarily move and reinstate items such as appliances, floor coverings, curtains, and fittings where required.
  • Keep properties, access routes, communal areas, and workspaces clean, safe, and free from obstruction.
  • Remove rubbish and debris throughout the job and at the end of each working day.
  • Use the mobile app to receive jobs, complete job information, upload evidence photographs, and support accurate invoicing.
  • Work professionally around residents, explaining works clearly and maintaining a high standard of customer care.

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced domestic rewire teams with a strong background in full property rewires.
  • Qualified electricians able to complete installation, testing, and certification.
  • Good understanding of current wiring regulations and domestic electrical standards.
  • Ability to work in occupied homes with care, cleanliness, and professionalism.
  • Valid DBS checks for all team members.
  • Valid Asbestos Awareness certificates for all operatives.
  • At least one team member with approved non-licensable asbestos works qualification.
  • Suitable vehicle capacity to store materials where on-site storage is not available.
  • Ability to work from surveys, specifications, and app-based job instructions.
  • Strong attention to evidence capture, paperwork, and completion records.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience delivering social housing or domestic rewire programmes.
  • Experience working in resident-facing environments.
  • Familiarity with app-based job management and photographic evidence processes.
  • Experience installing interlinked fire detection systems in domestic properties.

Team / collaboration context:

The role is suited to established Domestic Rewire Teams who can manage the full rewire process from start to finish. Teams will need to coordinate materials, access, resident interaction, daily progress, and final testing to ensure each property is completed safely, cleanly, and to the required standard.

Location / work model:

The work is based in Bristol across domestic properties. Standard working hours are expected to be Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. Weekend work may be available by prior agreement only. This opportunity is for Domestic Rewire Teams working on a price-per-property basis.
