Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join their skilled and established engineering team.
Key Responsibilities Program, set, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and machining centres.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Create and modify CNC programs using CAM software and G-code.
Set tooling, fixtures, datums, and machine offsets.
Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
Measure components using precision inspection equipment.
Troubleshoot machining issues and identify process improvements.
Complete production documentation and maintain quality standards.
Carry out routine machine maintenance.
Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and best practices.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery.
Strong knowledge of G-code and engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
An engineering or machining qualification such as NVQ, BTEC, or City & Guilds.
Experience with Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar CAM software.
Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or Heidenhain control systems.
