As H&S Coordinator, you'll work closely with operational teams and site leadership to promote a proactive safety culture, strengthen compliance and support continuous improvement across the site.
This is a varied role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact through coaching, analysis and practical support.
The Opportunity: As an H&S Coordinator you'll play a key role in
- Supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of the site's Health & Safety programme across all operational areas.
- Working alongside managers to embed safe working practices, monitor performance and encourage ownership of Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Analysing Health & Safety data including near misses, hazard reports, observations and incidents, providing meaningful insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinating Health & Safety training, audits and awareness activities while supporting colleagues to develop their knowledge and confidence.
- Maintaining Health & Safety documentation, records and reporting systems to ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
- Your work will directly contribute to strengthening the site's safety culture, supporting compliance and helping to deliver continuous improvements across the business.
About You: We're looking for someone who can bring
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment, with an understanding of operational processes and workplace safety.
- A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH, or the willingness to work towards one.
- Experience supporting audits, delivering training or promoting Health & Safety best practice within an operational environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and recommend practical improvements.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage colleagues and build positive working relationships at every level.
- Good organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting accurately.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours and encourage continuous improvement.
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, processing or another industrial environment would be advantageous.
