The Role This position sits within the sales ledger team and provides broader support for the Credit Control and Accounts Receivable function.
It is a varied role suited to a proactive and organised Finance Assistant who is comfortable managing their own workload while supporting colleagues across the wider finance team.

Applicants should have previous experience in a Finance Assistant role within a busy finance team and be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and confident taking ownership of tasks while contributing positively to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of resident accounts, proactively chasing and collecting outstanding debts.
Produce a weekly aged debtor report, including analysis of outstanding balances.
Build relationships with home managers, families, local authorities and other key contacts to establish resident funding.
Complete local authority account reconciliations, investigating and resolving queries.
Carry out bank reconciliations accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate resident records and ensure information is kept up to date.
Provide support to colleagues where needed to ensure sales invoices are processed accurately.
Support other colleagues across the finance team as appropriate.
Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required.
