Our client is looking for a highly motivated and proactive production technician/team operator to run high speed production lines within a continuous manufacturing process. Full training and development will be provided for candidates who have core skills within mechanical or manufacturing engineering.

The Role:
Within the remit of the role, you will be responsible for running fast moving production lines within a highly pressurised manufacturing environment. Duties will include setting the machines pre-production and running the line throughout the production process. You will be responsible for any tool changes required, cleaning of the machinery as well as quality checks of the product. You will be required to undertake basic maintenance of the machines, so an understanding of basic mechanical engineering or a manufacturing process would be useful. Full training will be given on both the process and role, but good mechanical aptitude or manufacturing experience would be extremely useful.
The Candidate:
- Engineering/manufacturing operator background (ideal)
- Strong mechanical aptitude (qualifications or experience), previous candidates have come from a vehicle mechanics background
- Happy working shifts
- Happy working within a fast moving pressurised environment
- Looking for a career within manufacturing
- Plastics knowledge would be useful (ideally Extrusion)
Hours and Salary:
Up to £35,424, 48 hours. Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off). 22 days holiday or 264 hours, increasing to 23 in year 2 and 24 in year 3. Standard pension. Great progression opportunities in the first year.
