We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client; for an experienced Software Systems Engineer to join their innovative engineering team in Bridgend.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a successful UK manufacturer of advanced, high-tech equipment supplied to customers across the globe.

You'll play a key role in the design, development and maintenance of sophisticated software and control systems, working on both existing products and the next generation of engineering solutions.

The

Role:
As a Software Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software that controls complex engineering systems.

Working closely with engineering, production and customers, you'll develop software solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, support global installations and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of innovative products.

This is a varied role offering exposure to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through to testing, implementation and continuous improvement.

About

You:
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
HND or Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.

A minimum of five years' software development experience.

Strong VB.

NET programming skills within an engineering or industrial environment.

Experience of, or an interest in, machine control, motion control or hardware integration.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple technical projects.

Experience with PLCs or laser control systems would be advantageous but is not essential.

What's on offer:
Negotiable salary dependant on experience.

Working hours will be Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm; Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm.
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
