Start your career somewhere you can actually make an impact. Enterprise Transport Training is one of the UK's leading transport training providers, with almost 30 years experience and ambitious plans for continued growth. We're looking for a bright, ambitious and commercially minded person to join us as a Management Trainee. This isn't a traditional graduate scheme where you'll spend years working through a fixed programme. You'll work across different areas of a fast-moving business, learn directly from experienced managers and get involved in real projects from the start. We're particularly interested in someone who is excited by technology, AI and the way businesses are changing. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what area of business you want to specialise in. Part of the opportunity is finding that out.
A modern business with technology at its heart. Although we operate within the transport training industry, behind the scenes we're a highly technology-driven business. We have our own in-house IT and development team, building systems, automations and tools that help us operate more efficiently and improve the experience for our customers. We also have in-house marketing, allowing us to develop campaigns, websites, customer journeys and new ideas quickly without relying heavily on outside agencies. We're continually looking at how new technology can improve the business, including AI, automation, data and new digital tools. You won't be joining an IT role, but you'll be working in an environment where technology is used across virtually every part of the company. If you're the sort of person who sees a new piece of technology or AI tool and immediately starts wondering 'how could we use this?', you'll probably enjoy working here.
What will you actually do? That's deliberately quite broad. You'll gain experience across different parts of Enterprise, which could include:
- Business operations
- Project management
- Customer experience
- Marketing
- Technology and systems
- AI and automation projects
- Data and reporting
- Business development
- Finance and commercial decision-making
- Training operations
- Process improvement
As you develop, we'll identify where your strengths lie and give you increasing responsibility in those areas. You'll also have opportunities to work on projects that affect the whole business rather than simply being given routine trainee-level tasks.
Where could it lead? We're growing, and we want to develop the next generation of people who will manage that growth. Enterprise has a strong history of developing and promoting people from within. Previous employees have joined us with little or no office experience and progressed through different departments into senior positions within the business. For the right person, this role could ultimately develop into a management position in operations, technology, marketing, commercial management, project management or another area of the company. How quickly you progress will depend far more on your ability, attitude and contribution than how long you've worked here.
Who are we looking for? Qualifications and previous experience aren't the most important things to us. We're looking for someone who:
- Is ambitious and wants to build a genuine career
- Is intelligent, curious and willing to learn
- Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Is confident using technology
- Has a genuine interest in AI and emerging technology
- Enjoys solving problems and improving how things work
- Can work at pace and manage several priorities
- Communicates confidently with different people
- Is commercially minded and interested in how businesses operate
- Is comfortable with change and trying new ideas
- Wants responsibility and progression
You might be a graduate, have recently finished school or college, or already be working and looking for an opportunity with significantly more scope for progression. A degree is not required. We're much more interested in what you're capable of and where you want to go.
What we can offer:
- A genuine route into management
- Exposure to multiple areas of a growing business
- The opportunity to work directly with senior management
- Hands-on involvement in real business projects
- Exposure to our in-house IT, development and marketing
- Opportunities to work with AI, automation and new technology
- Responsibility from an early stage
- Full on-the-job training and development
- Funded relevant professional qualifications
- Up to 28 days' paid holiday
- Auto-enrolment pension
- A friendly, informal working environment
- The opportunity to shape your role as you develop
This probably isn't the job for everyone. If you're looking for a narrowly defined role where you do the same thing every day, it probably isn't for you. But if you're ambitious, interested in business and technology, want to learn quickly and like the idea of joining a company where good ideas can actually be implemented, we'd like to hear from you. Apply with your CV.
