Company description: Water Utility Company based in Yorkshire region of England.

Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (1 office a week Bradford/Leeds).

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a SAP Ariba Master Data Analyst to join the Finance team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan to look after Yorkshire's water, today, tomorrow, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Where you fit in: As our SAP Ariba Master Data Analyst, you will:

  • Play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical master data across the organisation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Transform complex data into meaningful insights, identifying trends and providing recommendations that help solve real business challenges.
  • Create, manage, and maintain master data records across key business systems, including SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.
  • Champion data quality by proactively identifying issues, driving improvements, and ensuring data remains fit for business use.
  • Develop and continuously improve processes and documentation to support effective master data management.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to resolve data-related challenges and deliver practical, value-driven solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and business teams to ensure data standards, governance, and system processes are aligned with organisational needs.
  • Produce insightful reports and analytics that support operational performance and informed decision-making.
  • Design, develop, and maintain standard reporting solutions that provide clear visibility of business performance.
  • Support the development of data models and databases that enable efficient reporting and analysis.
  • Contribute to the implementation of data standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the business.
  • Lead data cleansing and archiving activities, ensuring systems remain efficient and free from outdated or duplicate information.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and define the data needed to support key objectives.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and analytical requests, delivering timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of key data sets, including customer, supplier, procurement, catalogue, material, and contract data.
  • Use data-driven insights to influence decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the achievement of business goals.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and curious, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Process-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Resilient and tenacious, with the confidence to investigate and resolve challenges.

Desirable:

  • Experience or studies in Finance, Human Resources, Information Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience working with large data sets, reporting, or business systems.
