Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (1-2 days in the office a week Bradford/Leeds).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Project Manager to join the Finance directorate at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in: As our Regulatory Project Manager, you will:
- Create and execute project work plans, revising as necessary to meet changing requirements.
- Prepare high-level business cases, recognising costs and benefits to support project sponsors.
- Manage resources in collaboration with functional managers, sponsors, and sub-contractors.
- Lead, scope, and manage projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Produce high-quality reports on ROI, risk, business case, and implementation plans.
- Promote new ideas and drive project opportunities through collaboration with partners, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage stakeholders and ensure effective communication plans are in place.
- Represent the organisation with regulators, coordinate regulatory submissions, and provide regulatory analysis and support.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Experience managing projects across the full lifecycle, from planning through to delivery.
- A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving high performance.
- Experience in business planning, resource management, and budget control.
- The ability to think strategically and deliver plans that achieve business objectives.
- Experience leading change, influencing stakeholders, and embedding positive behaviours.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret, communicate, and present information effectively at all levels.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence and collaborate across the organisation.
You will also benefit from having:
- Knowledge of the Regulatory framework and legislation relevant to the Water Industry.
- Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors.
- Experience in a commercially orientated environment, in strategic leadership and/or an operational role.
- Experience of enabling and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
