A well established building contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full responsibility for the refurbishment and extension of a leisure facility This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-profile project, delivering exceptional quality while managing a dynamic site team. The project will run for a minimum of 9 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and operatives, maintaining a productive and collaborative site culture.
Monitor progress and maintain accurate site records and reports.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to resolve issues and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Oversee the integration of refurbishment works with new build extensions.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Number 1 Site Manager on projects from 5m to 10m.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract administration, and health & safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to solve complex site challenges.
Outstanding communication and organisational abilities.
Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 6, HNC/HND) and CSCS/SMSTS certification.
