We are currently looking for a Cap and Cove Floor Layer in the Boston area to work on a self-employed, long-term contract for a well-established housing contractor, on the voids team. This opportunity is with a respected and established building contractor within the housing sector. You'll be part of a company that values high-quality workmanship and supports ongoing growth in a stable, full-time environment.
As a Cap and Cove Floor Layer, you will be:
- Installing cap and cove vinyl flooring to kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, and communal areas
- Preparing subfloors, including cleaning, levelling, and applying smoothing compounds where required
- Measuring and cutting flooring materials to ensure accurate fitting and a high-quality finish
- Heat welding and sealing joints in accordance with industry standards
- Installing safety flooring and vinyl flooring within domestic and social housing properties
- Carrying out repairs and replacements to existing flooring where required
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment on site
