We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchasing Administrator to joina successful electro-mechanical manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, procurement, supply chain or buying experience who enjoys working in a technical manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in supporting production and customer delivery.
As a vital member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring materials, components and services are sourced efficiently, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and building strong relationships with suppliers to support our production schedules.
Key Responsibilities of the new Purchasing Administrator Raise and manage purchase orders for electronic and mechanical components, materials and services.
Monitor supplier delivery schedules and expedite orders where necessary.
Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and inventory data within the ERP/MRP system.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, confirm lead times and negotiate delivery requirements.
Support inventory management activities and help minimise stock shortages.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Stores and Planning teams to ensure material availability.
Assist with supplier performance monitoring and cost-saving initiatives.
Resolve invoice, pricing and delivery discrepancies.
Produce purchasing reports and support continuous improvement activities.
What We're Looking for in the newPurchasing Administrator Previous experience in a Purchasing Administrator, Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Administrator, Buyer or Supply Chain support role.
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, electronics or electro-mechanical environment would be highly advantageous.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicator with the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Positive, proactive and team-oriented approach.
