We're now looking for a Senior Process Development Technologist to join our R&D team in Worksop and play a key role in shaping our long-term innovation pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies, influence future manufacturing processes, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to bring new ideas to life.

As a Senior Process Development Technologist, you'll operate at the forefront of process innovation, helping to unlock new opportunities across our portfolio. You will:

  • Identify and develop new product and process pathways to enhance performance and efficiency
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects across R&D, Operations, Engineering and Quality
  • Conduct trials, scale-up activities and troubleshoot existing manufacturing challenges
  • Explore and implement innovative solutions to improve consistency, reduce waste and optimise processes
  • Support new factory and line development opportunities
  • Collaborate with suppliers, universities and external innovation partners to build strong networks and bring fresh thinking
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory and quality standards, including audit readiness
  • Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with curiosity and a passion for innovation. You'll bring:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge or exposure to processes such as thermal processing, extrusion, baking or agglomeration
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes
  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers or suppliers
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Confidence working with data and tools such as Excel
