Our client is a leading international main contractor specialising in the delivery of hyperscale data centres and mission-critical infrastructure across Europe. They are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the project team delivering a major phase of one of Europe's largest and most significant digital infrastructure programmesa landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth.
Spanning more than a decade, this flagship development will redefine digital infrastructure in the UK. Working alongside the project leadership team, you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, and supporting the safe delivery of complex construction activities across the site.

Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and continual improvement of the project's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
Promote a proactive and positive health and safety culture across all site activities.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety tours to monitor compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, client requirements and current health and safety legislation.
Assist with risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and permit-to-work systems.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
Deliver health and safety inductions, toolbox talks and awareness briefings.
Monitor subcontractor compliance and provide guidance to site management teams.
Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and documentation.
Support environmental initiatives including waste management, sustainability and environmental compliance.
Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies on all HSE-related matters.
Assist the wider project team in achieving project safety objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Previous experience as an HSE Advisor , Health & Safety Advisor , SHE Advisor or similar role within the construction industry.
Experience working on data centre, mission-critical, commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Good understanding of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH or Grad IOSH preferred).
Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with operatives, subcontractors and senior management.
Ability to conduct site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
