We are looking for an experienced ELV Lead / BMS Controls Engineer to join a major Data Centre project in Blyth, UK.
This is a key technical role responsible for managing the delivery, coordination, testing and commissioning of BMS and ELV systems through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
Manage BMS and ELV packages from installation through to commissioning.
Coordinate BMS and ELV activities with the design team, contractors and vendors.
Chair BMS workshops with the design team and BMS provider.
Act as the main point of contact for BMS/ELV vendors on site.
Review drawings, RFIs and technical submittals.
Coordinate third-party vendors to ensure commissioning remains on programme.
Attend daily coordination, commissioning, client and vendor meetings.
Review L3 testing and system performance outputs.
Inspect completed works and coordinate QA/QC sign-off.
Manage commissioning documentation and track progress through the Cx portal.
Monitor programme, quality and technical issues through to closeout.
Support integration and commissioning of BMS, controls and ELV systems.
Work closely with the wider MEP and commissioning teams.
Requirements
Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Controls.
Strong experience with BMS / Building Automation / ELV systems.
Previous experience on large-scale Data Centre or Mission Critical projects.
Strong understanding of controls, system integration and commissioning.
Experience coordinating BMS providers, vendors and subcontractors.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with L3/L4 testing and commissioning.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
