We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical & Controls Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering business delivering bespoke automation and control system solutions across a range of industrial sectors. This role will focus on the design, development and commissioning of PLC, SCADA and electrical control systems, supporting projects from concept through to customer handover.
This position would suit an Electrical & Controls Engineer with experience designing and commissioning industrial automation systems who enjoys working on varied, project-based work. It will appeal to someone who is confident programming PLCs, developing SCADA and HMI systems, producing electrical designs and working directly with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop PLC, SCADA and HMI control systems for bespoke industrial automation projects
- Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control panel designs using EPLAN
- Carry out PLC programming, system testing, commissioning and on-site fault finding activities
- Integrate variable speed drives, industrial communication networks and safety PLC systems into complete control solutions
- Work directly with customers to manage projects from initial design through to commissioning and final handover
