About The Role

Join Home Serve as a Water Supply Pipe Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers' homes running smoothly.

  • Location: Birmingham
  • Salary: £33,220 - £37,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
  • Hours: You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)
  • What you'll be doing

As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you'll work in customer's homes carrying out repairs and maintenance on water supply systems.

Your day-to-day will include

  • Diagnosing and repairing leaks on water mains
  • Laying and replacing pipework
  • Excavation and reinstatement work where required
  • Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
  • Representing Home Serve in customers' homes with professionalism and care
  • This is a field-based role where no two days are the same, giving you variety and autonomy in your work.

What we're looking for

  • Experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 penalty points)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
  • A positive, proactive approach to your work

  • We'll set you up for success from day one with a structured onboarding programme:
  • Week 1: Classroom-based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
  • Week 2: On-the-job training alongside an experienced Home Serve WSP Engineer
  • (Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
