A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make:
As a Used Car Area Manager, you'll work closely with retailer management teams to unlock the full potential of their used vehicle operations. Travelling across your region, you'll analyse performance, coach dealership teams, identify commercial opportunities and implement tailored action plans that improve sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. By building trusted relationships and driving continuous improvement, you'll play a key role in helping retailers deliver exceptional customer experiences while achieving the brand's ambitious performance objectives.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with retailer management teams to improve used vehicle sales performance, profitability and operational excellence across your region.
- Analyse key performance data to identify opportunities, develop SMART action plans and support continuous improvement in stock management, sales processes and customer experience.
- Coach and influence dealership teams to strengthen capability, improve used car operations and embed best practice.
- Monitor compliance with Approved Used standards, supporting retailers to maintain brand requirements and successfully achieve audit expectations.
- Collaborate with brand field teams and key stakeholders to deliver a joined-up strategy that maximises retailer performance and commercial success.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience working within automotive retail, with a strong understanding of used vehicle sales operations and retailer performance.
- Excellent relationship-building, coaching and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence interpreting financial and operational performance data.
- The ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and implement practical improvement plans.
- Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the flexibility to travel extensively across your region.
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting or developing dealership performance within a manufacturer or field-based environment.
- Knowledge of used vehicle marketing strategies and stock management best practice.
- Experience working with performance reporting, balanced scorecards and retailer financial analysis.
- Strong IT, analytical and reporting skills.
