Are you an experienced Electrical Project Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer with a background in HV/LV systems, power generation, renewable energy, grid infrastructure or process control? We are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering projects across the UK energy sector.
This is a genuinely varied role, combining electrical design, project engineering, site support, commissioning and troubleshooting, with involvement from feasibility through to operational delivery.
The Role
- You will work on projects across Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Battery Energy Storage, Grid Infrastructure, Solar, Wind and Carbon Capture.
- Designing and engineering HV/LV electrical systems.
- Supporting grid integration and power generation projects.
- Carrying out feasibility studies and technical assessments.
- Working with SCADA and process control systems.
- Supporting system modelling, simulation and optimisation.
- Producing technical reports and project documentation.
- Supporting electrical testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Liaising with engineers, project managers, utilities, suppliers and clients.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards including BS7671, IEC and ENA.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong electrical project engineering experience.
- Knowledge of HV/LV systems.
- Experience within power generation, renewable energy, utilities or industrial engineering.
- Familiarity with SCADA and process control.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MATLAB or equivalent engineering software.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to UK project sites.
- Chartered Engineer status or professional engineering certification would be advantageous.
Location
This is a home-based UK role with project work across the Birmingham area, Midlands, Stoke-on-Trent, North West and Central Belt Scotland. Regular UK travel will be required, with occasional overseas travel.
Package
Up to £65,000 DOE, £4,000 Car Allowance, Home-Based Working, UK-Wide Project Exposure.
