A rare opportunity for a commercially minded qualified and experienced Bakery Manager or Baker to move into a technical sales support role for a manufacturer of bakery equipment, specifically dough processing systems, sold to the bakery market across the UK, both to large commercial and smaller artisan/craft bakeries.

BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000 Base

BENEFITS: Choice of Hybrid Company car or Car allowance + 5% Pension

LOCATION: Home based, covering the whole of the UK and Ireland, with trips to Europe for product tests and trials as well as training for 1 week at a time but 4 to 6 times a year.

You will balance working from home with client visits alone and alongside the sales team. You can live anywhere in the UK although a more central location is preferred.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Oxford

JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a technical support role supporting clients and the company's sales team with a mix of working from home and client visits alone and alongside the sales team. 1 week trips to Europe for training and for product tests and trials 4 to 6 times a year will be required. Intensive product training in Europe will be provided in the first 3 months of your employment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • You will be an experienced Bakery Manager or Supervisor with experience of product development or continuous improvement.
  • You will ideally have experience with automated pastry lines.
  • You will have relevant bakery or pastry chef qualifications.
  • You will have excellent communications and be comfortable working directly with clients.

THE COMPANY: A well established and successful UK sales and service office for a market leading European manufacturer of bakery machinery, specifically dough processing, sheeting, shaping and cutting systems supplied to the bakery market for both bread and pastries and both larger commercial and smaller artisan/craft bakeries.
