About Wyndale: At Wyndale, we believe a great stay is about more than just a clean property. We create spaces that feel considered, welcoming, and memorable. From the moment a guest arrives, every detail matters from the cleanliness and presentation of the property to the finishing touches that create the right atmosphere.

Our housekeeping team plays a huge part in delivering that experience, and we are looking for a Housekeeping Team Lead to help us maintain and raise our standards across Birmingham.

The Role: As Housekeeping Team Lead, you will be responsible for helping drive the day-to-day housekeeping operation across our Birmingham properties. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will work alongside the housekeeping team, ensuring properties are cleaned and presented to a consistently high standard, while also supporting team members, carrying out quality checks, coordinating daily tasks, and helping new team members develop.

You will be someone who leads by example, takes pride in excellent standards, and is confident giving support and constructive feedback when needed. You will play a key role in ensuring every property is guest-ready, beautifully presented, and meets the standards our guests expect from Wyndale.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning & Property Presentation: Clean and prepare guest properties to a consistently high standard. Ensure properties are presented in line with Wyndale standards and listing photography. Complete final presentation touches, including mood lighting, soft furnishings, styling, and room presentation. Start and finish your working day at our Birmingham storage unit, collecting and returning linen and supplies. Travel between multiple properties throughout the day to complete assigned tasks. Step in and support with cleans when required.
  • Team Leadership & Support: Act as the main day-to-day point of contact for the Birmingham housekeeping team. Support, motivate, and encourage team members to maintain high standards and performance. Lead by example and be willing to get hands-on when required. Help coordinate daily schedules and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Support the team in resolving day-to-day issues and challenges. Help create a positive, supportive, and accountable team environment.
  • Quality Control & Spot Checks: Carry out regular spot checks across Birmingham properties. Ensure cleaning, presentation, and staging standards are consistently maintained. Identify areas for improvement and provide clear, constructive feedback. Record and report quality issues, damages, or maintenance concerns to management. Ensure Breezeway logs and relevant property information are completed accurately and on time.
  • Training & Onboarding: Support the onboarding of new housekeeping team members. Deliver hands-on training on cleaning standards, property presentation, linen management, and Breezeway. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help team members improve. Help develop and improve training materials, processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Stock & Operations: Oversee housekeeping stock and linen levels across Birmingham. Ensure supplies are organised, maintained, and replenished when required. Carry out regular inventory checks and report missing, damaged, or low-stock items. Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and correctly. Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, particularly when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and naturally sets high standards for themselves and others. You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally within serviced accommodation, hospitality, hotels, or a similar environment.
  • Experience supporting, guiding, or leading a team.
  • A strong eye for detail and a genuine passion for high standards.
  • Pride in creating clean, well-presented, and welcoming spaces.
  • The confidence to give constructive feedback in a positive and professional way.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • A reliable, proactive, and hands-on approach.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Confidence using apps and digital tools. Experience with Breezeway is beneficial, but training will be provided.

Pay & Benefits: £13.50 per hour. Performance-based bonus scheme linked to guest satisfaction and 5-star feedback. Mileage contribution for travel between properties. Stay free at any Wyndale property as part of our employee incentive scheme. A supportive team environment. Genuine opportunities to grow with a growing business. The opportunity to help shape and improve our housekeeping standards and processes. The chance to be part of a brand that values care, creativity, quality, and going the extra mile.

Why Join Wyndale? This is an opportunity to join a growing business where your work genuinely makes a difference. As Housekeeping Team Lead, you’ll play an important role in shaping the guest experience and supporting the team responsible for delivering it. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact, develop your leadership skills, and help build a housekeeping operation that is known for exceptional standards. If you’re a natural leader, take real pride in your work, and want to be part of a business that cares about the details, we’d love to hear from you.
