Panda Waste is a leading waste management provider dedicated to driving sustainability forward. We are currently hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy Birmingham team. Operating out of our Birmingham depot, you will be responsible for the collection and transportation of commercial waste using our modern fleet. This is a hands-on role for a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service, and maintaining their vehicle to a high standard.
What Youll Be Doing
- Vehicle Operation: Safely and efficiently drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for commercial waste collection.
- Service Delivery: Complete efficient collection routes and ensure customer sites are left tidy.
- Data Management: Weigh bins and accurately record collection data using an on-board tablet system.
- Compliance & Tech: Conduct daily vehicle safety checks, report defects promptly, and strictly adhere to waste regulations and drivers' hours.
- Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, providing a professional and friendly service on-site.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
- Days: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays on a rotational basis.
- Start Times: Early morning starts, typically between 04:00 AM and 05:00 AM daily.
