The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor to join an established and growing legal practice in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident property solicitor looking to join a supportive, forward-thinking firm with a varied commercial property caseload and the opportunity to develop their career. You will manage your own caseload, working with a range of clients on commercial property transactions from initial instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters.
  • Handle the acquisition and disposal of commercial property.
  • Advise landlords and tenants on commercial leases.
  • Deal with lease renewals, assignments and surrenders.
  • Handle property transactions involving offices, retail premises, industrial units, land and other commercial assets.
  • Undertake title investigations and property due diligence.
  • Draft and review contracts, leases and other property documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors throughout transactions.
  • Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice.
  • Maintain accurate files and ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing clients and contribute to the continued growth of the department.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with solid experience in commercial conveyancing/property. You should have:

  • Previous experience managing a commercial property caseload.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial conveyancing transactions.
  • Experience dealing with commercial leases and acquisitions/disposals.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong client management and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A commercial and practical approach to providing legal advice.
  • Ideally 5+ years PQE.
