Café Manager Permanent Based in Birmingham
We are looking for a Café Manager to join our friendly and dynamic team here at Waterstones in Birmingham.
Our Café Managers are at the very heart of the cafes within our Bookshops.
They lead a team of baristas and should be passionate about offering exceptional customer service.
They have great coffee knowledge, can demonstrate a flair for commercialism, and understand the importance of providing a welcoming ambience for our customers to relax in our cafés.
What you will be doing As a Cafe Manager you will deliver excellent customer service, ensure the café maintains high standards and deliver the commercial offer.
You will have a flexible approach and show your initiative but most of all you will have a passion for coffee.
You will also be great at training and supporting your team to do this too.
You set clear standards and enable and encourage your team to be innovative.
You manage the merchandising and ambience within your café to create a welcoming environment in which customers can enjoy a relaxing break.
What we need from you Passion for coffee and delivering outstanding customer service.
Previous experience of running a café and leading and influencing a team to deliver excellent customer service.
Confident in managing the merchandising and ambience in a café and creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Be commercially savvy.
Ensure all your team know the targets and that all individual and cafe goals drive long term profitability.
Experience in promoting a passion for learning and sharing knowledge within your team.
