Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their Birmingham office. Job Overview
The successful candidate will assist in delivering a range of building surveying services across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK. Working alongside experienced surveyors and multi-disciplinary teams, you will gain exposure to both professional and project-based work while developing your technical skills.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with building condition surveys and preparing detailed reports
- Supporting the preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, schedules of work, and drawings
- Assisting with tender submissions, contractor assessments, and the preparation of JCT contracts
- Attending pre-contract meetings and supporting project handovers
- Carrying out site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance
- Attending client and project meetings
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Travelling to project sites and client locations as required
Job Requirements
- Degree in Building Surveying or relevant industry experience
- Working towards chartership
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
