We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architectural Technologist to join a well-established architectural practice specialising in technical delivery, BIM implementation and the successful execution of complex projects, based in their Central Birmingham office. The practice is recognised for its expertise in translating ambitious design concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions and regularly collaborates with a number of leading design-led architectural studios across a diverse range of sectors.

The successful Architectural Technologist will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical information, leading project coordination, and supporting projects through the later design and construction stages. This position is well suited to an experienced technologist with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for BIM-led project delivery within a highly collaborative environment.

Architectural Technologist Overview:

  • Lead / assist with technical delivery of projects from developed design through to construction, producing coordinated and accurate drawing packages.
  • Work collaboratively with external design-led architectural practices, consultants, contractors and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and manage project information using BIM processes and methodologies in line with industry best practice.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective communication throughout all stages of project delivery.
  • Attend and contribute to design team meetings, technical workshops and site meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations, relevant legislation and quality management procedures.
  • Assist in the production and coordination of detailed drawing packages and technical information across a range of projects.
  • Contribute to project delivery using Revit and BIM processes within an established BIM-accredited environment.

Architectural Technologist Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience within a relevant role.
  • Proven track record delivering technically complex projects through construction stages.
  • Excellent knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows advantageous, good knowledge of other 3D software would also be fine.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, current planning policies and associated legislation.
  • Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and alongside external design practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Live within a commutable distance of Central Birmingham.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE - More for a Senior Technologist.
