Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:45am - 4:30pm and Friday: 7:45am - 12:45pm

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Fitter to join a skilled Production team responsible for assembling high-quality components and specialist sub-assemblies for customers across a wide range of industries worldwide. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical assembly skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to demanding build schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and work accurately from assembly and pneumatic drawings
  • Support the mechanical and pneumatic assembly of machinery and spare parts to a high standard
  • Run field wiring in preparation for electrical fitters
  • Conduct routine inspections on returned machinery to assess functionality and condition
  • Identify mechanical faults and report findings to the Shopfloor Foreman
  • Carry out testing on equipment following repairs and maintenance activities
  • Work to production deadlines and build schedules
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality at all times

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter is essential
  • Proven experience building bespoke or special-purpose machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly and pneumatic drawings
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Electrical fitting, machine wiring, and pneumatic experience would be advantageous
  • A quality-focused approach with strong customer awareness
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines and customer requirements
  • Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach
  • Health & Safety conscious with good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
