Quest Employment is representing a well-established client in Bicester that is looking for reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join their team. This role involves working within a chilled environment and offers opportunities across both dispatch and fresh food production departments. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a cold environment, carrying out physical tasks, and maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Dispatch Operative
- Picking customer orders accurately
- Scanning order tickets and products
- Palletising and preparing orders for dispatch
- Moving and lifting boxes weighing up to 20kg
- Ensuring orders are packed correctly and ready for shipment
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Fresh Room Operative
- Preparing and processing fresh fish products
- Packing products into appropriate packaging
- Labelling products accurately
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- Conducting quality checks on products
- Maintaining cleanliness within the production area
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, production, food production, or dispatch experience is advantageous but not essential
- Comfortable working in a chilled environment
- Able to carry out manual handling and lift up to 20kg
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
Working Environment
- Cold/chilled working conditions
- High-visibility vest and safety footwear are mandatory
- Warm clothing is strongly recommended
