Salary: £27,976.00 - £33,435.04* Higher end of the salary is inclusive of two sleep ins per week and a level 3 QCF in Children Residential and/or equivalent

What the Role Involves
As a Children's Residential Support Worker , you'll be part of a dedicated team supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, adversity and disruption in their lives.
No two days are the same. This role can be highly rewarding, but it can also be emotionally demanding. We are looking for people who can remain patient, resilient and professional during challenging situations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting young people with their daily routines, education and personal development
Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
Creating a safe, nurturing and stable home environment
Managing and de-escalating incidents and challenging behaviours with confidence and empathy
Encouraging independence, life skills and positive outcomes
Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, education providers and external professionals
Maintaining clear records and safeguarding responsibilities
Acting as a positive role model who provides consistency, boundaries and emotional support

You'll need:
Strong emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Confidence working with young people who may present behaviours that challenge
The ability to maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships
A calm and measured approach in difficult situations
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
A full UK driving licence (essential)
The ability to undertake physical intervention when required, following training
A willingness to learn and complete a funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

Important Information

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK and be able to work 40 hours per week.
