A fantastic secondary school in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is searching for an exceptional Oxbridge Graduate Academic Mentor to join their team from September 2026. This full-time role is perfect for a graduate who is passionate about education, social mobility and considering a future career as a secondary teacher.
You will work closely with pupils across KS3, KS4 and KS5, supporting them in lessons, leading small-group interventions and helping them make strong academic progress. This is an excellent opportunity for an Oxbridge graduate who wants to use their academic background to inspire students, raise attainment and support pupils with university aspirations, including Russell Group and Oxbridge pathways.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support pupils in your specialist subject area
- Deliver small-group and 1:1 academic interventions
- Assist teachers during lessons across KS3-KS5
- Support GCSE and A Level intervention sessions
- Help stretch high-achieving pupils and support those working below target
- Build pupils' confidence, motivation and independent learning skills
- Support students with revision, study skills and academic confidence
- Assist sixth form students with university preparation, personal statements and wider academic enrichment
- Work closely with experienced teachers, subject leaders and pastoral staff
- Gain valuable school-based experience before teacher training

Candidate Requirements
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree from Oxford or Cambridge

- £110-£120 per day
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
