Our client an education charity based in Hackney, London is currently seeking a n GCSE English Language & English Functional Skill Teacher to join their team on a part-time, temporary basis.
This is a role for a passionate and skilled English educator who is committed to improving learners confidence, communication skills, and life chances through high-quality teaching of GCSE English Language and English Functional Skills (Entry Level to Level 2).
Responsibilities include:
Teach GCSE English Language and English Functional Skills (Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2) in line with awarding body specifications and ELATT curriculum intent.
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners, including SEND and EAL students.
Prepare high-quality teaching resources, schemes of work, lesson plans, and differentiated learning activities.
About you:
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert.
Ed, or equivalent).
A subject specialism in English, English Language, Literacy, or Functional Skills English (minimum Level 4).
At least 2 years experience teaching GCSE English and/or English Functional Skills within Further Education, Adult and Community Learning, or Sixth Form contexts.
