We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Fire Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who can take ownership of small to medium-sized projects, providing technical leadership while ensuring successful project delivery.
Reporting directly to senior management, you will act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, producing high-quality fire strategies and technical drawings, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage small to medium-sized fire engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Act as the technical lead and primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Independently coordinate with design teams and produce fire strategies, technical reports, and technical drawings with minimal supervision.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Prepare fee proposals and respond promptly to client correspondence.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships, managing expectations throughout project lifecycles.
- Liaise with approving authorities and lead project submissions, seeking support from senior management where required.
- Monitor project budgets, fees, and scope to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Proactively identify and communicate any risks relating to project scope, programme, or financial performance.
- Escalate concerns to senior management promptly when project parameters may be exceeded.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including meeting minutes and project documentation.
- Ensure all project information is stored correctly and in accordance with company procedures.
- Accurately record time and project activities through company timesheet systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical knowledge within the team.
- Participate in ongoing learning and development activities.
- Maintain a record of Continued Professional Development (CPD) and stay informed of industry developments, standards, and legislation.
