Team Leader Warehouse Insight Employment is currently recruiting for our client based in Bedford, for an experienced Team Leader to join a leading manufacturing and warehousing operation.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-paced team, playing a vital role in the efficient operation of the warehouse and packaging areas.
You will be responsible for supporting logistics activities, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and health & safety.
Key
Requirements: - To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: A valid, accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence (in-date preferred; refresher training can be provided on-site).
Previous team leader warehouse experience in similar background.
Experienced operators from food or drink background, and the team leader needs to be a team leader or supervisor from same background.
SAP/ warehouse management experience.
At least 2 years' forklift driving experience.
Proven experience operating double counterbalance forklifts (handling two pallets simultaneously).
A willingness to undertake general warehouse duties alongside forklift operations.
Good physical fitness, as some manual handling and lifting may be required.
A sound understanding of health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
Good written and spoken English communication skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
A reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude.
Key
Responsibilities: - As a Warehouse Team leader, you will: Lead a team of forklift drivers and staff.
Operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely and efficiently, completing all required health & safety checks.
Manage load and unload incoming and outgoing vehicles.
Arrange logistics of moving empty containers and finished products throughout the site.
Transport materials between warehouse, canning, and production areas.
Manage and carry out FLT gas bottle changes and gas loading when required.
Use SAP handheld devices and systems to accurately book stock in and out.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and hygiene within the work area.
Support operational activities including material handling, cleaning, and basic autonomous maintenance tasks.
Ensure equipment, tools, and materials are used correctly and report any faults, defects, or incidents promptly.
Adhere to all Quality, Food Safety, HACCP, Food Defence, and Health & Safety requirements.
Support the achievement of site productivity and performance targets.
Working
Hours: - 39 hours per week on a rotating three-shift pattern: 06:00am 14:00pm 14:00pm 22:00pm 22:00pm 06:00am Please note: Sponsorship is not available for this position.
