Lead a service that truly changes lives. We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager - Extra Care to oversee four Extra Care schemes supporting around 90 adults aged 55 and over across Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Registered Manager or a highly capable Care Coordinator, Extra Care Coordinator or Deputy Manager ready to take the next step into management. You'll be joining an organisation that genuinely values kindness, quality care and strong leadership.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the overall management of four Extra Care services, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred support that enables them to maintain their independence and live fulfilling lives. Working closely with your team, families and healthcare professionals, you'll ensure the highest standards of care, compliance and service delivery are maintained across all locations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of four Extra Care schemes.
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of Coordinators, Supervisors and Care staff.
- Ensuring services remain fully compliant with CQC regulations and company policies.
- Promoting outstanding person-centred care and positive outcomes for residents.
- Managing recruitment, inductions, training, supervision and performance management.
- Completing quality audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
- Managing resources effectively to deliver safe, high-quality services.
- Participating in the on-call rota as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and who leads by example. You'll ideally have:
- Experience as a Registered Manager within Adult Social Care, or
- Significant experience as a Care Coordinator, Extra Care Coordinator or Deputy Manager looking to progress.
- A stable employment history demonstrating commitment and reliability.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, organised approach, particularly when working under pressure.
- A caring, compassionate and approachable leadership style.
- Good knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding and CQC standards.
- Strong organisational and IT skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
