About the Opportunity:

3Sixty Talent Management are recruiting for this role on behalf of one of our prestigious clients. We are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Pre-Construction Manager to join a successful and growing construction business based in Bedford. You will work closely with clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers, bringing together client requirements, design information and construction expertise to develop competitive and accurate bids.

The Role:

As Pre-Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing and interpreting project information.
  • Preparing estimates and bid proposals for commercial construction projects with values up to £3 million.
  • Accurately completing quantity take-offs from drawings, including labour and materials.
  • Understanding construction planning, sequencing and project delivery.
  • Liaising with clients to clarify specifications and requirements through RFIs.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Participating in site reviews, tender reviews, tender handovers and project close-out meetings.
  • Using in-house pricing and quoting systems to produce accurate estimates.
  • Undertaking site surveys and attending site visits when required.
  • Supporting the business unit and providing weekly progress updates.

About You:

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator within the commercial, manufacturing and logistics sector.
  • An HNC/HND in Construction and the Built Environment, or equivalent.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • Experience of estimating and managing the full tender submission process.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commercially focused approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good IT literacy.
