With continued growth and an expanding payroll function, they are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish, ensuring everything is processed accurately, on time and in line with current legislation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing regular weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls
- Processing starters, leavers, salary changes and other payroll adjustments
- Producing and issuing payslips, P45s and payroll reports
- Ensuring payroll records are accurate and up to date
- Reconciling HMRC accounts and dealing with HMRC queries
- Managing day-to-day client payroll queries and gathering information required for processing
- Completing Auto-Enrolment administration, including pension uploads, communications and reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate client records and payroll documentation
- Keeping up to date with payroll procedures, legislation and processes
- Working closely with colleagues and clients to resolve queries and ensure deadlines are met
You’ll be managing multiple client payrolls, so organisation, accuracy and the ability to juggle competing deadlines will be essential.
The Candidate
We’re looking for someone with at least two years payroll experience gained within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau, who is confident managing payrolls of 250+ employees. You’ll ideally have:
- Strong practical knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements, including PAYE, NIC, SSP and SMP
- Experience managing a portfolio of client payrolls
- Good knowledge of Auto-Enrolment and pension processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
- Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the initiative to identify improvements
- Good IT skills and experience working with payroll systems (KeyPay experience would be useful)
- A professional, client-focused approach
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy taking ownership of your work, be comfortable working across multiple payrolls and take pride in delivering an accurate, reliable service to clients.
The Details
Location: Beaconsfield office based, with no hybrid working
Hours: minimum of 30 hours per week (full-time also considered)
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000, depending on experience

The office is conveniently located just a couple of minutes' walk from Beaconsfield station, with easy access to the M40 and paid parking available.
