As Performing Arts Technician, you will bring the magic of performance to life.
Youll inspire creativity by delivering exceptional technical support across lighting, sound, projection and theatre technologies, ensuring every production, lesson and event is polished, professional and memorable.
Your expertise will elevate the quality of our performance experiences and enable students to shine whether on stage, behind the scenes or in the classroom.

Key aspects of the role:
Bring Performing Arts to life by supporting outstanding learning, productions and events across Drama, Music and Dance.
Deliver exceptional technical support, including lighting, sound, projection, video, audio creation and editing for lessons, assessments, shows and exams.
Provide substantial creative and technical input for school productions sourcing props and costumes, enhancing audience experience, supporting rehearsals and sound checks.
Facilitate and manage specialist spaces such as the recording studio, supporting A Level Music Tech and producing high-quality recordings of exams and assessed lessons.
Support whole-school events requiring lighting, sound and technical setup, both internal and external.
Lead on health & safety compliance, including risk assessments, PAT testing, equipment checks and ensuring all theatre technologies meet GDST standards.
Train and support staff and students in safe and effective use of technical equipment; contribute to induction and ongoing development.
Collaborate with Marketing & Digital Communications to showcase Performing Arts work across appropriate channels.
