Rate: £73.40ph LTD (Outside IR35)
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support our defence client on a contract basis. This is not a traditional enterprise networking role. We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked within systems integration, integration & test, trials, or mission-critical environments.
Key Skills Required:
- Recent Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) experience
- DDS (Data Distribution Service)
- VLAN Configuration
- Network Architecture & Deployment
- Systems Integration / Integration & Test environments
- Real-time, deterministic or safety-critical networking
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain network architecture for laboratory environments
- Support and maintain lab infrastructure and development areas
- Configuring systems according to Lead Systems Engineer requirements
- Support integration, testing and trials activities
Job Requirements:
- Recent experience of TSN (Time Sensitive Networking), DDS and VLAN Configuration
- Experience in IT Network and its applications within Defence & Security
- Understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection Model
- Understanding of IPv4 Addressing
- Understanding of Virtual Local Area Network configuration
- Understanding of Network Implementation and Deployment
- Understanding of Network Architecture
- Understanding of NetConf
- Understanding of Network Security (Desirable)
- Familiarity with Safety Critical Networks (Desirable)
