PROJECT ENGINEER Lower Thames Crossing | up to £45,000 + Lodging & Travel Allowances + Healthcare NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join an established engineering contractor working on the major Lower Thames Crossing project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer / Civil Engineer with a strong background in earthworks or major infrastructure to take ownership of complex engineering projects from planning through to completion.
THE ROLE As Project Engineer, you'll act as a key technical authority on the project, providing engineering guidance and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual, quality and regulatory requirements.
You'll work closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams across engineering, commercial, planning and HSEQ , playing a key role in maintaining programme, quality and commercial performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Take ownership of project objectives across safety, quality, programme and commercial performance .
Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and design through to execution and completion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders .
Act as a key point of contact, resolving technical and project issues effectively.
Coordinate with commercial, planning and HSEQ teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
Support accurate forecasting, risk management and programme planning.
Provide leadership and direction to the project team, driving high standards of performance.
Monitor and report on project progress, risks and opportunities to senior management.
Implement corrective actions where required to protect programme and delivery targets.
Ensure all works comply with contractual obligations, industry standards and relevant regulations.
Support a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across the project.
ABOUT YOU We're looking for a Project Engineer with:
Proven experience within earthworks, civil engineering or major infrastructure .
A strong track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
Strong technical knowledge across core civil engineering disciplines.
Experience working within demanding construction environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial and project management awareness.
The ability to make sound technical decisions and resolve issues proactively.
Chartered status with ICE or actively working towards Chartered status .
A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
