We are looking for an experienced Senior Mortgage Advisor to join an established property and financial services environment in the Basildon area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mortgage professional who enjoys working with customers, developing relationships and maximising new business opportunities. You will have access to a strong flow of leads, administrative support and guidance from experienced management, allowing you to focus on advising customers and growing your business.

- Salary: £31,000, with a temporary earnings support arrangement
- Car: £3,500 car allowance or company vehicle
- Driving licence: Full UK driving licence required
- Earning potential: Around £65,000 OTE, with uncapped commission
- Working pattern: 5 days per week, including Saturdays, with two Saturdays off per month
- Hours: Monday-Friday approximately 08:30-17:30; Saturdays approximately 09:00-17:00

The Role
As a Senior Mortgage Advisor, you will provide expert mortgage advice to customers, helping them understand their options and find suitable solutions based on their individual circumstances. Your responsibilities will include:
- Meeting customers to understand their financial circumstances and property requirements
- Providing tailored mortgage advice and guiding customers through the application process
- Identifying suitable protection and insurance opportunities
- Managing and converting warm leads into completed business
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships
- Working closely with property professionals to maximise business opportunities
- Supporting and sharing knowledge with less experienced colleagues
- Developing additional business opportunities from existing customers
- Liaising with mortgage lenders and other relevant parties
- Working towards agreed sales and performance targets
- Maintaining high standards of compliance and ensuring all advice is delivered in line with FCA requirements
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced mortgage professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent customer service. You should have:
- CeMAP Level 1 or equivalent qualification, with relevant mortgage advisory experience
- CAS status or the ability to achieve the required status
- Proven experience working as a Mortgage Advisor
- A strong track record of achieving sales or performance targets
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A customer-focused approach
- Commercial awareness and a desire to maximise opportunities
- The confidence to work independently while contributing to a wider team
- A full UK driving licence
