My client is a world leader in the provision of highly advanced technical solutions to the Energy and Marine sector. They are currently looking for a Logistics Operator to join their growing team who are advancing technology in their sector. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in an environment where investment is continuous and substantial.
Reporting to the Logistics Team Lead the Logistics Operator is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the logistics department, including movement of storage and distribution of goods. This role involves managing shipments, ensuring proper handling of inventory, coordinating with transportation providers and maintaining accurate documentation.
Duties:
- Manage the loading and unloading of goods from trucks, containers and other transport vehicles.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and couriers to ensure proper and prompt movement of shipments.
- Respond to customer inquiries and refer them to proper departments.
- Ensure shipments are shipped on time, meeting company on time delivery targets and revenue targets.
- Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain accuracy in shipping, receiving and inventory processes.
- Handle shipments, measuring boxes, weighing shipments, re-palletizing and packaging delicate and fragile items.
- Kitting of components, etching components.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain accuracy in shipping, receiving and inventory processes.
- Experience in a logistics, warehouse or shipping/receiving role.
- Candidates who are currently a Logistics Coordinator, Stores Technician, Warehouse Operator, Administrator, Logistics Administrator, Supply Chain Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator, Import & Export Coordinator and Purchasing Administrator could be suitable for this role.
