We're supporting a leading organisation in the search for an experienced IS Applications Lead to take ownership of a complex enterprise applications landscape, with SAP at its core. This is a hands-on leadership position, managing outsourced partners, driving governance and ensuring business-critical applications remain secure, resilient and high performing.
The Role
- Leading the operational delivery of the enterprise applications estate
- Owning SAP governance, change and release management
- Managing third-party application vendors and outsourced service providers
- Overseeing application architecture, performance, security and resilience
- Delivering application upgrades, implementations and transformation projects
- Coordinating testing, UAT and deployment activities
- Managing major application incidents and service escalations
- Supporting audits, IT General Controls and compliance activities
- Driving application lifecycle management across on-premise and SaaS platforms
- Managing software licensing, renewals and commercial agreements
- Working closely with Cyber, Infrastructure and business stakeholders to improve security and operational maturity
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience leading enterprise application environments
- Proven SAP applications governance and support experience
- Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Power BI
- Strong understanding of ITIL, change management and IT General Controls
- Experience managing outsourced suppliers and third-party vendors
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience delivering application and SAP-related projects
- Degree in IT, Business or equivalent commercial experience
