Operational Services is seeking to appoint a Supervisor to:-
Provide supervision and technical support to maximise the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the Waste & Recycling services
Be based at Brynsworthy Environment Centre and have experience of dealing diplomatically with a cross-section of employees and customers.
You will be Supervising the Yard team who run the baling and sorting equipment, ensuring traffic operations in the depot are carried out safely and efficiently.
You will also supervise the Street-scene team ensuring streets are kept clean and litter bins are emptied on schedule, as well as ensure the Toilet Cleaners keep on top of their daily cleaning schedules.
Responsible for carrying out inspections of field and site operations to ensure compliance of operations to safe working practices, to minimise relevant hazards
U se a variety of IT apps/packages, to carry out appraisals, manage sickness levels, deal with disciplinary issues and general staffing issues.
Be able to work from 8am 4pm predominantly, with occasional 6am 2pm shift, working Monday to Friday and a Saturday following a bank holiday.
Knowledge of waste management & street cleansing operations, along with knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, desirable.
Full training for every aspect of the post will be provided.
