Hours of work:

  • Monday - Thursday: 07:30 am - 4:00 pm (45 minutes lunch)
  • Friday: 07:30 am - 3:00 pm (1 hour lunch)

This is the perfect position for someone who has administrative skills and a desire to start their career in a transport/logistics environment.

Key responsibilities of the Transport Administrator:

  • Collating drivers hours both electronically using Tachomaster software and manually
  • Controlling drivers hours and ensuring compliance with Working Time Directives (WTD) regulations
  • Managing and monitoring PODs (Proof of Delivery) and liaising with the IT department on any scanner issues
  • Collecting signed paperwork from Drivers
  • Taking calls from drivers with regards to issues downloading and scanning their loads, helping to resolve issues, and escalating where needed
  • Filing and checking in all vehicle defects to ensure all are accounted for
  • Inputting monthly fuel figures and MPG (Miles Per Gallon)
  • Ordering and controlling all fuel cards
  • Updating bespoke FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) software with all PCNs (Penalty Charge Notices) and fuel usage
  • Handling all PCNs and either recharging them to drivers or appealing them where parking has been paid
  • Downloading and inputting weekly vehicle mileage from Tachomaster onto an Excel spreadsheet
  • Managing and ordering all department's uniform requirements

To fulfil the role of Transport Administrator, you must:

  • Have knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisation skills
  • Be self-disciplined and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A desire to progress in a transport environment
