This is an exciting opportunity to work for a forward-thinking and growing provider of stunning elderly care homes. Due to the current manager's retirement, my client is seeking a caring and motivated care home manager to manage this GOOD rated and highly regarded, purpose-built medium-sized residential care home.

This role offers you the opportunity to shape your own service and team, and really make a difference to people's lives in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art home. The home is a very settled medium-sized home with superb facilities for the residents. There is a supportive deputy and unit managers, and you will lead your team to develop the home even further whilst creating a homely and supportive environment that's responsive to individual needs.

About the role: As the home manager, you won't just manage your home; you'll be the heartbeat of everything that happens there. You'll be given a great deal of autonomy and will lead by example, driving your team and pushing for continuous improvement daily. You'll provide person-centred and quality-driven care to ensure that you make every day better for the people who live and work in your home.

About you: As this is a leadership role, you should have a minimum of three years management experience, ideally in a residential care setting with a background of GOOD CQC. You're also someone with:

  • a thorough understanding of best practice and governance frameworks
  • a passion for dementia and elderly care
  • great communication skills, able to build relationships with local commissioners, CQC and professionals
  • the ability to inspire, lead and manage a team
  • excellent time management skills, able to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
