CLD Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established and respected law firm based in Barnsley, working within their Family Law department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary ideally with a background in Family Law who is looking to join a professional and supportive team.
The Role
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors within the Family Law department.
- Preparing and formatting legal correspondence and documentation.
- Audio and copy typing, including digital dictation.
- Managing diaries, arranging appointments and coordinating meetings.
- Dealing professionally and sensitively with clients, solicitors and other third parties.
- Opening and maintaining client files and ensuring records are kept accurately.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Assisting with the preparation of legal documents and case files.
- Supporting solicitors with the day-to-day management of Family Law matters.
- Carrying out general administrative duties as required.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Family Law.
- Excellent typing and audio/digital dictation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
- A professional, empathetic and confident approach when dealing with clients.
- Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
